Job Responsibilities

• Clean out stalls, replace bedding, clean and maintain display stable facility

• Assist with administering care of Shires: feed, water, groom, etc.

• Hitching and unhitching draft horses with carriages

• Clean and polish leather harnesses and brass/clean & polish wagon

• Maintain trucks, wagon, equipment, tools, facilities, etc.

• Operate truck/trailer and assist with set up of portable stalls/display

• Perform public relations/interact with public & media

• Assist in performing all aspects of showing the horses, cattle & sheep 

Job Qualifications

• Daily care and maintenance of Shire, mules, facilities, and all equipment

• Ensure every guest, Hermann Farm employee receives the best customer experience

• Market and promote the Shire, Farm and Hermann brand all

• Driver truck/trailer and other horse hauling equipment to ensure safe and reliable transportation for Shires.

• Assist with the coordination of specialized animal care, provide urgent care when necessary

• Able to drive or assist driver of Shire Wagons/Coach as needed

• Able to harness, drive and/or assist in driving/training
