Hermann Farm hosts and participates in a variety of artisan festivals and educational programs which celebrate the history and heritage of rural Missouri. Through exhibits and demonstrations which represent the past and the seasonal work cycle of an 1860s era family farm, the Hermann Farm provides unique opportunities to learn about our rural past and celebrate our German heritage.

Come experience a historical perspective of life in early Hermann, thus establishing a link between the past and present.  See below for upcoming events and photo albums from previously held events. For more information Contact Us.

Upcoming 2010 Events:

Hermann's Culinary Arts:

Cheese Making Sessions To Begin at The Cooperage

Starting Tuesday, July 13th.

Series will run for 5 weeks from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
$200 per person which includes all materials.
Classes will be held at the historic 1840s Cooperage located at 338 E. First, next door to Hermannhof Winery.

While cheese making is in theory a science, we also need to appreciate that it is an art. Often cheese making instructions appear simple, but there are skills and sensitivities one must develop for successful cheese making. And that's where a class in cheese making can help with a successful outcome with your first effort in crafting artisanal cheese.

Hermann Country Fair

Saturday and Sunday open from 10am to 4pm

Plans are underway for the 2nd Annual Country Fair sponsored by the Hermann Farm & Museum. A visit by the Montgomery County Old Thresher's Association along with Percheron draft horses, Clydesdales hitched for carriage rides, a variety of vendors offering everything from jams and jellies to locally produced honey products and apple butter simmering over an open fire creates a family atmosphere that's hard to beat. Foods, music, literature, arts, folk crafts and farm land critters all help celebrate our rural heritage. Fun for all ages.
